I have really been enjoying this web site it has so much useful information I wanted to ask you all another question. I am trying to prepare for my interview. i decided to write my own answers to questions i might get asked at the interview. so i was wondering if you could read my answers and tell me what you think. thanks
Q: tell us about your self
A: I was born and raised in the bay area of California and I am a college graduate. I enjoy working with computers and know how to use them very well. I spend some of my free time working out and staying in shape. I have worked in a variety of different jobs over the years which has helped me develop and enhanced my interpersonal skills with the public that I feel is necessary for a job as a fire fighter. I am motivated and dedicated to my work and goals I pursue. Supervisors have told me that I have excellent decision making skills and work well under pressure. I try to maintain good communication skills and remain open minded to new ideas and concepts. I am able to take direction from supervisors but am also able to direct and take charge when necessary. I try to give myself a good balance between my work and leisure time. I feel I would be a valued asset to your department and you would not be disappointed if you hired me
Q why do you want to work here
A. Really love this entire area and would like to help make my community a safe place by providing emergency and premier customer service. I am excited about being a Fire fighter reserve and I cant wait for the opportunity to prove what an asset I can be to this department.
Q. why do you want to be a fire fighter reserve
A.. I have always had a strong desire to help people in anyway that I can. I enjoy being outside and working with people. I am confident in my ability to handle stress, function as part of a team and believe my motivation along with my commitment to high standards would enable me to serve the community well.
Q: is there is anything you would like to ask or add
A: I would like to thank the department for considering me for a position as fire fighter reserve. I believe you have asked some good questions and we have covered a good deal of information concerning my qualifications for this position however I just want to say in closing that I have worked very hard at prepare my self for this position and if given the opportunity to perform I will give 100 and ten percent to be the best fire fighter reserve
