I had an oral interview the other day and was asked the question,
"You are on the fire scene and your Chief tells you to do a job that you believe is dangerous to you and your crew. What do you do?"

I answered the question by saying that I would inform the officer of my beliefs because maybe he missed something in the mist of everything he had going on.
After I finished my answer one of the pannalest asked me if I would do what I was told. I was not real sure how to answer this one.

Could anyone help me out!

This is a tough one. I had this question also and said almost the same thing you did. In a situation like that I think a response of something like. "After informing the Chief or Officer of my findings and he still said we are going in I would trust his judgment because he has had more years of experience and has a better knowledge about the situation and by being around him I can gain from his experience and that will only make me a better firefighter"

That is a tough one. The other one I cringe at is "your senior man is doing something you know is wrong... what is your course of action?" or to that effect. I answered the first one back in my interview to be a volley with the "he has the big picture and I'd trust his judgment." Seems like a comfy answer to me!
