"Well ya see Boss, I was driv'n around the bend and up on the hill I saw this fantastic redhead.... and well... ya know, suddenly the whole world just kinda turned upside down."
Is it time to bring the Chinook in yet?

I wonder what sequence of events lead up to that. They look just a little to proud to be in such a photo.

Now that I look again, I agree with Rossco.. they do look a bit smug don't they? Almost like saying "Hah, this is HIS LAST day on the job..."

I guess in a situation you would have to see the funny side and pose for a photo with it. It said in the article that the truck weighed 112 tons empty, so someone would have to use a bit of muscle.
On the same website I found these pictures -
"Truck 843 to Control - I gotta funny burning smell here in da cab?"
"843 - you'll get used to it!"

It would be a coal seem on fire and they would be trying to shovel the burning coal out away from the unburnt stuff, thus saving millions of dollars.

I called Mrs. H. in from the kitchen to look at the photos, and mentioned the time she was heading out of an Asphalt Plant and the hot asphalt shifted on the truck. She had a interesting trip to the job with 19 tons of Surface Mix leaning hard to starboard. With that, I'm outta here, gotta go look for breakfast elsewhere................... ;)

Or maybe as they're clocking out that afternoon,"hey, are you getting fired? That's the rumor!".
That especially works well on Friday when he's going on vacation next week.

This pic came as part of a series. I don't know how old they are, but if you know what a CAT D8 is, you'll really appreciate this:

And to get a true idea of the magnitude of this screw-up, there's a person at the very right-hand side of this frame:

I'd like to see the loader that put that huge rock in the bed of that truck. It looks like that truck is about to go over too.
On the anphib, the captain is saying, " no, put the suction in the water."

Why does that shot of the small plane hitting the pickup truck look like a Border Patrol move against a immigration violation?? :D
