I'm going to New Zealand junior year :) March 2007 til November 2007 I will be attending Victoria University of Wellington in Wellington New Zealand. I am going to be participating in a Rugby Study Abroad, which means i get to play rugby while I'm there :) I also get tickets to some professional and international games. I'm wicked excited to go. I know it's a long time away from now, i have 2 semesters in between and the rest of this semester... but its something to look forward to.

Just remember, dont pick up the kiwi accent. :D
Good luck, but if you want to know how rugby is really played, you should have come here to Australia.

patty... i'm going to have to disagree with you... i think that the all blacks are the best team in the world. so im majorly excited to get to see them play in person... and possibly party it up afterwards with them... (my cousin knows many of them, so shes making me a phone list, all her friends from new zealand want to meet me, i guess some all blacks too) dont know if im more excited to go to new zealand or see the all blacks

Wasn't that, like, 2 years ago? And how many games has "dad's army" won since then, anyhow? Why do the numers "36" and "3" keep popping into my head? And just what happened to the Lions?
;)

The Lions rugby practice was delayed nearly two hours today after a player reported finding an unknown white powdery substance on the practice field. The head coach immediately suspended practice while police and government investigators were called to investigate. After a complete analysis, investigating forensic experts determined that the white substance unknown to players was the try line. Practice was resumed after special agents decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.
The lions coach takes the team out for a training run and first up he tells everyone to assume their normal position.
So they all go and stand behind the goalposts and wait for the conversion
The lions are making available a helpline for fans who are disappointed with their teams performance
The helpline number is : 0800 10 10 10
That is .....0800 won nothing won nothing won nothing!!
What's your wife trying to tell you if she's wearing a lions shirt in bed??
You ain't going to score....ever!!
There are only 2 things that can be seen by the naked eye from space...
The first is the great wall of china...the second is the gap in the Lions defence!!
What's the difference between the lions and an arsonist
An arsonist wouldn't waste that many matches
A seven year old boy was at the centre of a courtroom drama today when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge awarded custody to his aunt. The boy however confirmed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and refused to live there.
When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents the boy cried out that they beat him more than anyone.
Then in an unprecedented move, the judge dramatically allowed the boy to choose who should have custody of him. In a final ruling yesterday, custody was granted to the British & Irish Lions Rugby Test Team as the boy firmly believes that they are not capable of beating anyone.

INSERT LOADER GROAN
How many Scotsmen were on the tour.....
Oh you mean the England, and a few Welsh bloke tour.
Lions be damned, I have a peice of a4 paper signed from Ireland, England, Wales and SCOTLAND from the 1977 (or there abouts) tour of New Zealand by the LIONS.
Set up at the practice before the final test in Auckland, at Eden Park. By an ex All Black by the name of Nepia (George), for a group of very young blokes from a high school junior team to be present, media excluded. And we got to watch the whole damn lot, and George doing Hongi (Maori greeting for friends) with members he knew.
George came down voluntarily through meetings with my father (ex NZ Police) over youth activities and freely gave his time with us and other youth organisations to promote a better way to look at the world.
This is the first, and last time, I will write about this anywhere. As it is only now, seeing the Man in my mind, that I realise the true impact of someone of his stature, and spirit.
Kia Kaha George Nepia.
Warrior, Brother, Father.

I wish we got international games on tv here... actually any rugby on tv would be awesome. I don't get to watch alot of rugby but i get to play. Which makes Keene State Women's Rugby Football Club my favorite team. even tho we arent the best team in the world we try. We got moved up to D2 from D3 this year so we are a D3 team playing D2 rugby :) speaking of which i gotta do laundry today... my rugby shorts and socks are getting solid and crusted cuz we played in the mud on saturday... then we slid around in the mud and mud wrestled afterwards. so we lost... we lost... but that just means we partied hard once we got back from vermont.
