Ron Kohl, the editor of Machine Design passed away on December 10th after a long battle with cancer.
Many of you will remember rather heated debates about FD responses on his web site, which spilled over onto here.
Ron was brash and opinionated, a lot like more than one or two Jakes that I know. He did have guts, as he appeared on a Firehouse.com webcast with Billy Goldfeder to discuss his views... I listened to that one and I think Billy might have changed Ron's mind a little.
