Kme Fire Apparatus

We have two apparatus built by " Kme " a 1998 walk-in rescue & 2005 pumper . so far know major problems with these trucks other than regular maintainance , The two towns next to us have 3 pumpers and 1 ladder and they have been problem free also. Some times you get stuck will a " Lemon " and the best thing to do is to trade it in for a new apparatus from a different builder, like " Seagrave , Pierce , Smeal , etc. You don't want this lemon around for the next 20-25 years .

Farmington Fire has 2 KME fire apparatus, Engine 1; a 1990 pumper. And Engine 4; a 1998 pumper. We haven't had too many problems, they need some engine work once in a while but they're great trucks.
