In cosidering a new apparatus (engine), what factors determine whether or not you go with fixed cab, split tilt or full tilt style cab?

We have a 10 man split cab Seagrave & a 6 man Kme full tilt, both are easy to lift for oil changes & repairs. a fixed cab will be a nightmare for any type of major engine work , the trucks cab roof must be removed to lift out the engine or trans and you will have less room in the rear seating area!

We have always had full tilt cab except for some 1988 and 89 Pierce Lance which were half cab tilt but doable. As said here it is soooo much easier to work on with a full tilt cab. I have done work on non-tilt units and what a pain in the rear. Get the tilt.
