How long did it take for someone that got an award letter to the time that they announced it on the website in a "round"? (regardless of AFG, SAFER, FP&S)

Anywhere from 2-6 weeks depending on how busy they are at the time.

Just putting some words in your mouth, Brian. ;) Actually, when you get an award "letter" you should be announced in the very next round, usually . When you get the 10 questions it may take several weeks.....pickey, pickey pickey :D

True, I just read it fast. Trying to get a bunch of things wrapped up since I'll be on vacation next week.
The official Award Letter link shows up on the web site usually right after they make the public announcement, if not at the same time. But not before since it's not official until the public announcement.
Of course now that they're turning the announcements loose at 0-God hundred I'm not going to set my alarm just to see if that theory is true. :D

....unless you are one of the lucky ones and your Congressman calls a couple of days before the announcement to congratulate you.

Over the past years, the AFG has been announced at various times from June to August. When does anyone expect ths year (2006) announcements will begin. Thank You.
P.S. BC79er.... you seem to have the inside scoop..

Oxbow13671,
Check out the following link. Greenacres2 gives a great explanation on the process and time frames.

I would suspect that announcements will begin sometime in August. After years of doing this, the feds really have not figured out how to speed up the process from PR, to Q's to awards.

According to my sources they are trying to start awards in late June or early July. HMMMM! Have we heard that before?

Hey bugle--thanks for the props!! There's hope for me yet.
Kurt--new as i am at this, that sounded like an old record. Not the fault of the program though, they have to wait for the appropriation. Sorry i missed you in Indy on Friday--we had a ton to do, and the day went fast. I had some stuff for your people, i'll e-mail it!! you'll get your "props" too!!
