JUst saw this new book on AMAZON: TAX DEDUCTIONS A TO Z FOR FIRE, POLICE & EMT PROFESSIONALS. Michigan Firefighters also have it on theri web site. First book like it.

I always thought the tax breaks were for volunteers- kind of make sense. I get a couple thousand off my property taxes.

If you want the check - great - I love being a firefighter and don't need or want the money .

What changed? I thought that getting those dirty green pieces of paper for being a "firefighter" were beneath you.
