Just a quick question. How can an individual obtain DoD certs if they have not been in the military? Say they are interested in contract ff overseas.

Thanks - Alex

Overseas contracts should require IFSAC or NPQS. IFSAC is the seal a DoD cert has on it. There no other way to get a DoD cert unless you're a federal firefighter or a military firefighter.

Try putting that up in the Military forum and see what you make out over there.

DOD certs are IFSAC. Many states certs are recognized by IFSAC or Pro Board. If you have Pro Board or state cert then pay a fee w/ a copy of the cert to IFSAC to obtain one. California is one state that does not recognize IFSAC, but they are Pro Board recognize through the Haz Mat series.
