Hey, I was looking into applying with either Blakcwater or Blackhawk security as an NREMT-P
Anyone heard anything about these guys hiring for 3 years of experience.

from what i understand, if u aren't former special forces, or at the very least military. then good luck. its a hard way to earn your money. if u survive it is a nice paycheck though. most of the guys i have known of who made it on with them never had the pleasure of spending their cash.

Blackwater, Triple canopy, and other contractors of that nature are looking for shooter medic quals. At the very least you need law enforcement experience as a tactical medic, but SF, or former miliratary, as well as being able to get security clearances etc is a huge plus.
They certainly pay very very well, but the downside is that you are out on the razor's edge. They are all outside the wire companies where there are no rules of engagement -- its kill or be killed.
You also have to have a superlative level of fitness. No squeaking by the PT test, you need to blow it away if you are going to work for them.
One of the guys in my office is on the list for their school and he is 165 in the rotation. So 164 guys have to be interviewed, trained, and deployed before he gets called up.
Not a job to hang your hat on. Basically they come to you if they want you, not the other way around..
