Today, I was reading through the International's Fire Fighter mag, May/June edition. I noticed a half page article on page #30 talking about the possible health risks of cell tower exposure.
My questions are:
1. What standards are you looking at to gage your risk of RF/MW exposure (ANSI/ IEEE C95.1-2005 are refrenced in the article).
2. Do you (or would you) practice lock out on all towers regardless of possible exposure.
Here are a few pictures from a recent RTR Tower Rescue course. During the course, we discussed these issues in great detail. After taking the course I feel better prepared to safely train and perform rescues on "energized" communication towers and the like. Thanks.
