My job doesn't necessarily have a RIT bag. All of our truck companies have a RIT compartment. To back up a little...a regular alarm will get you 3 engines, 1 truck, safety, and B/C and a fourth engine for RIT and a fifth engine for EMS stand-by. All firefighters are RIT trained. Once on-scene the RIT company will take their own PPE/SCBA, hand tools, radios, and flashlights. The officer and their three firefighters will proceed to the truck and assemble the RIT cache. Which includes: stokes, three 100' of 1/2" life safety rope bags, two bags of webbing, 1 complete SCBA w/ extra facepiece and quick-fill hose, (thermal imager and saw(s) if available). We will take this with us and stage next to the command post. Once we report in to IC the officer and one firefighter will do a recon of the building. Here RIT is not permitted to be reassigned or used for any purpose other than RIT operations. However, we can and will proactively remove any security bars, force additional egress and set-up addtional ladders for egress before going back to stand-by. Those actions are determined by the RIT officer based on their recon.

I probably should clarify that we do not use all of the RIT equipment on most stand-bys, we usually tailor what equipment we take up dependant on the building. The fire department is not interested in purchasing "special" equipment for RIT. So when they put together the equipment it was basic items that we already had. Also our training bureau teaches techniques that do not require any equipment (other than the occasional lentgh of rope) for most any situation.

Every firefighter also has a personal piece of webbing (tied in a loop) with a carabiner attached and a set of cutters.

60 min SCBA bottle
Extra SCBA Mask
Assorted SCBA fittings to ensure compatibility
Wire Cutters
Both, large and small MAST Slings

eh... i may be forgetting a couple smaller accessories but those are the major components.

That is just the bag like you asked. In addition, hand tools, saws, TIC, stokes basket, lights, etc are with the team while on the fireground.
