I am currently going through the LA city process. I just finished going through the field investigation and am anticipating a job offer (fingers crossed). IF and when an offer will be presented is killing me. Also, I am trying to get as much info on upcoming academies so I have some semblance of a possible timeline. Any info on drill tower prep would be much appreciated as well.

START RUNNING . better get your life in order. You're gonna be very pre-occupied for the next 18 months. CONTINUE RUNNING. If you are married or in a serious relationship, have a serious heart to heart and let them know you will not be there for them like you want to be. You will need thier support. RUN HARDER. If you have an iffy relationship, just end it now so it's not a distraction. RUN SOME MORE. don't get hurt. it's gonna be tough and not alot of fun for sometime, but it will all be worth it. there's a reason why so many want this job and work so hard just to get where your at. don't forget that. GL.

I recently went through the Background Interview for LA City and am now waiting to get a response from the Initial Panel Review. About how long did it take for you to hear back from them and for your Field Investigation to get started? Did you get a phone call from an investigator or did you receive a letter in the mail? Anything you could tell me would be greatly appreciated.

My background interview was in April and I got a response in about 4 weeks.

Whats up guys. I'm up for an Oral at the end of this month for LA City and was wondering if, for you guys that went through it, had some advice or any tips for me? Any bit of information would be real helpful. Thanks guys.

Congrats on getting into the academy. Are you in a "40's" class or a "81's"class? I went through 81's drill tower.
