We were awarded $90,000 for a 2000 gal tanker with a 750 pump. A used chassis with new rear is planned. Can we upgrade the gallons from 2000 to 3000? Single axle to a tandem?

2nd question. We have an engine rescue that is nine years old and is totally useless. It never gets run enough, not enough water, etc. The thought has been to sell it and put the money towards other equipment upgrades like a newer chassis on the other tanker and rechassis the rescue truck body.

What affect would this have on our grant for the new tanker?

You must complete the scope of the grant as it is written. With that in mind, there are a couple of questions since it is not really clear what you are doing.

1) Is your grant for a new tanker using a used chassis and new rear end?

2) What is the impetus behind the upgrading to a 3000 gallon tank and tandem axle?

Bugle,

I missed it the first time around too, but he stated a used chassis and new body are being planned.

WVFC: You can upgrade your tank size to anything you'd like, but once the pump size goes over 750gpm, you're entering a new project ("Engine") which would not be allowed.
