I am in the process of helping my son’s volunteer rural fire dept. build a new station. We are working through Rural Development with loan/grant combination. I need to prepare a preliminary operation budget. I am looking for a budget to benchmark from on utility cost (gas, electric, and so on). The building will be approximately 10,000 s.q. ft. and will house 4 trucks. It will not be manned 24 hrs a days and have a couple of training rooms and office, bath ect. Is there anyone that could supply me with an annual budget for a fire station about this size with this scenario? Thanks.
