I have several questions for you guys.

1. How does a department get in contact with you to see if you would be willing to assist with a grant.

2. Is there a fee, which im sure there is, but is it based on whether the grant is successful or not or is it just a straight up fee.

3. We just got DJ'ed yesterday. How much change needs to be made on the application. Our DJ stated that "The peer review panel's scores indicate that your application was generally good and above average in all four elements, i.e., there was some information that was useful, but not sufficiently compelling to be considered for funding on its written merits."

Help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks

Jeff,

Email is the easiest for me, probably the same for Kurt.

Depends on what you're going after for me, I have several agreements through which I can provide free help, some projects/locations I don't. What I can't do is an up-front fee, but with a lifetime warranty. I do it right the first time so it either gets funded or I keep working on it until it does, no extra charge for that project to that program ever.

DJ yesterday is pretty close to the money, but still a good bit back. The denial wording is relative so it's comparing your scores to the average of awarded apps. Doesn't mean you were low at all, just low compared to the awards, even as little as a half-point will say you were low. The computer writes the denials.

Should be able to click on the username from my posts, but it's brianv@firegraphics.org since those sometimes don't work.

MoneyMan29, we were awarded a grant this past year for R.I.T. equipment. I can share some information if you want. You can email me or PM me.
