Question Calibrating Atmospheric Monitors

Who is responsible for calibrating your atmospheric monitor used in confined space rescue. Do you use a backup monitor as well?

Our rescue services division officers generally calibrate the monitors. There are 2 AIM (600 series maybe?) 4 gas detectors. We have the calibration kit to do the process in house. Sensors are relativley easy to change, but we had a problem last time with calibarion being off and had to send them back to AIM. Looking into MSA Passport monitor as a tertiary backup monitor.

We have 2 Survivair 4 gas monitors. We have the calibration gas in house, but we send them out to have sensors repaired.
