Question Battery Packs for Dewalt Reciprocating Saws

Has anyone tried, purchased, or otherwise been in contact with the new shoulder-carried battery pack for the Dewalt saw? My department carries the 18V saw on each of our first out rigs and I am really interested in these new batteries. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Check out this months Fire Rescue, it has an article or add (don't recall which) about them in it. Looks pretty slick.

Cool

Yes, I've used the Fiskars battery pack frequently in training sessions. It works very well, and would be worth the investment. The charging circuit will maintain the batteries in good condition, giving you the power you need.

Dewalt is soon introducing a 24 volt cordless saw. Take a look at it.

For info. on the battery pack, call Fiskars at 800-950-0203 ext. 2746, or visit www.fiskars.com

I received an envelope from DeWalt today. It contained a brochure on their new line of 24 volt battery powered tools. I was begining to think that they were just myths. The recip saw should be a powerhouse. The Fiskars battery pack system looks like another winner also.

At this years international vehicle rescue competition in Coral Gables,FL. Dewalt had the line of 24 volt power tools at the competition. All the teams got a chance to use the 24 volt reciprocating saw and Fiskars battery pack they both work very well.If you are looking for a new battery powerd sawzaw i recommend the Dewalt 24 volt. Fiskars will demo there battery pack for your department just give them a call. They also gave the first place winners of each senerio a dewalt sawzaw and fiskars battery pack.
