Question "L" trench shoring

How does your agency handle an "L" trench? Do you recess the ends of the walers into the walls so that they overlap (by using an Air Knife), or do you simply "butt" them together? Lets hear your comments--and why you do it that way!

Question

Thanks for the picture. (always worth a 1,000 words) Do you find that the strength of the corner shores are sustained by the resistance from slipping of the walers, which are obviously held in place by shoring?
