Post Forest Service Fire Management Report

Some may be interested in knowing that a report entitled;
USDA Forest Service: An Agency Strategy for Fire Management is now available online. Haven't read the entire report so I don't know if it's GOOD or BAD. I'll let you formulate your own opinion. You can fine the report at:
http://www.fs.fed.us/fire/planning/USDA_Report.pdf
(Sorry about the last address on the report, this should work better.)3/15/99
Be safe..and heads up

Part of it is an interesting proposal. It would require a major shift in how the federal agnecies handle large incidents. The proposal calls for the creation of the National Incident Magagement Organization. Large incident support would be centralized in NIMO. However, initial attack and extended attack would remain in the local agency control. The report is worth a read.
