Question Quints

My department uses Quints which has a hose bed under the ladder that deploys the hose through a chute. Last fall while taking a hydrant, one of our firefighters suffered a severe leg fracture when the LDH was deployed.

I was searching for information about LDH loads on Quints with chutes. Has any other department experienced this type of injury when the LDH was deployed? And if so, how did they remedy the problem to prevent it from happening again?

Any feedback you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Do a search on my previous posts...I replied to a similar post several weeks back on the same problem, and my department's solution seems to work.
