Post Fire Apparatus Color

The debate rages on. This time it's not red vs some other color. It's which color red. Looking for detailed information regarding fire apparatus color. I have the standard bibliography from another web site. I am specifically looking for digital copies of reports.
Thank you

Cool

Well,
I cannot provide you with any reports or documentation, and (more importantly) I am not trying to be a smart @$$, but I think if you will research Federal Color Standars (FS 595B) you will find a "Fire Engine Red". Perhaps trying to trace that route will provide you with the information you seek on why that particular shade of red was chosen.
