Our department requires you to take VA state Driver/Pumper Operator, EVOC 3 and FF I. Then they usually spend 4 to 6 months doing field training.Once there officer feels there ready they are given a practical test that goes over every thing from flowing multiple lines to rural water supply.Once they pass that they are turned over with a 30 day probation period.
