Default Paint remover

Anyone know how to remove paint scrapes from an ambulance. I sideswiped a pole yesterday and got nice bright yellow stripes on the side of ambulance, not exactly something that can be hidden. Well, I had to tell my supervisor and right up a report and I'll probably get something written up in my file about it, but the thing is, there was no other damage, not even a dent. Is there any way to remove the paint off of it so If it happens in the future i can just deal with it myself and not have to go through all the other crap?

And I know, Don't hit anything stupid and you wouldn't have that problem....

Try a good quality rubbing compound.

Somebody gave me an eraser that fits in a 1/2" drill that is made for removing lettering from vehicles without damaging the paint job. They are gum rubber and about 3 or 4" in diameter. Works like a champ. Check with an autobody or parts store.
