Default Legal Question

RE: STATE OF ILLINOIS

Does anybody know if there is a statute that requires a municipal fire department to maintain an eligibility list? Ours just expired and the city for some reason has failed to interview and rank the newest crop of canditates who have passed every other portion of the eligibility testing.

Post Civil Service

In our community the Civil Service Commission has written into the law that we have to maintain a current list for hire. That's the good part. The bad part is HR has their fingers into the process and it isn't as user friendly as it could be.
I hope this helps.
