Does anyone know of any civil service fire departments that accept DOD certs as experience????

Are you asking about municipal or county departments or Federal civil service departments. I can vouch for the Federal departments, as these certs are required for employment with these agencies. Many other state or local governments also accept them if they recognize the IFSAC or NPQS accreditation they carry. Some places it will be directly reciprocal, in others you may have to challenge the test. Whether it comes from DoD or a state does not matter. What matters is the IFSAC cert. As far as experience goes, that is something totally different than a firefighting certification.
