Unhappy Update

A devastating day in an Eastern Kentucky community after a mother and her two young children are found dead inside a burning mobile home. Now officials say they're investigating a triple murder.

The flames broke out just after four Wednesday morning at a home in the Grayson community of Carter County. Neighbors noticed the fire and called the fire department.

Although officials haven't released any identities, but family members tell us 31-year-old Jennifer Ison and her daughters, 10-year-old Shannah and 3-year-old Marissa, died in the mobile home.

Fire crews worked for several hours to put out hot spots.

Investigators say the fire was intentionally set. They have ruled homicide in the case, but have not said how the three were killed.

The bodies have been sent to Frankfort for autopsy. Medical examiners will use dental records to make positive identification.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call State Police in Ashland at (606) 928-6421 or 1-800-222-5555.
