Anybody from Oklahoma still out there?
Pick a topic:
1. I love/hate my dispatcher because...
2. Things we asked for from FEMA and got/didn't get.
3. Can they make those COFT forms any more complicated to read??!!
4. Any word on if the Tech Centers are going to continue local firefighter training?
5. Do any First Responder agencies find being a "Certified" First Responder Agency to be pain in the rear? For the 30 medical calls we make a year, I wonder why I really want to mess with it...

I was wondering that myself. I check in here a lot to see if anything is going on. I'm the American LaFrance, Rescue 1 and PL Custom Ambulance dealer for Oklahoma. Not much goes on here on this board. Is there a different discussion board that the FF's from Oklahoma get on?

Beats me.
Some of the local forums are really active. I realize we don't have number of firefighter's as say, New Jersey or California, but I figure there's got to be a few people out there in the 700+ departments in the state.
I'll keep trolling for a while and see if I get anything...Bryan Beall

Welcome back!
Our medical related calls are picking up to be about 50% of our run total this year. We're only at 49 calls so far, but a far cry from the 12 we ran back in 1997.Bryan Beall

Well, Tulsa is having a leadership conference May 2-6 at the Crown Plaza Hotel. Go to tulsafirefighters.org for info on that.
I believe Tusa is hosting the state convention this year as well. I'll try to get some info on that.Bryan Beall

We're at about 120 runs mostly medical. We also have an auto-aid agreement with Sand Springs to respond tankers to their west side.
