    Arrow Bristol FD Exam

    I just received my letter in the mail to take the Bristol FD written. Has anyone taken it in the past? I am just looking for a general format for the test - multiple choice, topics, general knowledge, firefighting, etc? Their application process seemed very basic - license and CPAT with no application fee. Just trying to get a feel for the test. Also, if anyone knows - Do they send their recruits through the state academy? Any information would be helpful.

    Multiple choice written pretty basic. Last year 83 was passing to move on to oral. If you have your Fire I they will not send you to the academy, just put you online with a short stint at HQ.

    One just left to Hartford so that is one open spot. But they looking to hire one to fill it from the last list.

    They are usually pretty good at getting results our to you. I would say 21/2 weeks for results.
