We are a paid on call department so we issue a dress uniform, and if needed purchase their own set of turn out gear. Most of the time the probies wear what fits from the closet and when they make probation they get their own set and turn back in the other stuff. If they can't fit into something from the closet, then we order it.
It's a little reward to get a dress uniform with the badge and trinkets on it. Plus they get a raise in pay.Jason Knecht
