    Default Interstate 70 Sink Hole

Now I am wondering what the hub-bub is about on this. We all know that NOBODY around here drives in the right hand lane, right!

Sinkhole Closes Portion Of Interstate 70

FREDERICK, Md. -- The Maryland State Highway Administration said a sinkhole on westbound Interstate 70 in Frederick has gotten substantially worse.

Spokesman David Buck said a section of pavement in the right-hand lane has collapsed, leaving a hole 14 feet wide and 20 feet deep near the East South Street exit.

He said both westbound lanes will be closed all day and into the night.

The left-hand shoulder will be open to traffic, but the agency is urging drivers to take detours at exits 62 and 56.

Buck said he's confident the lanes will be open by Friday morning.

Buck said workers are pumping concrete grout into the sinkhole. He said road workers first noticed the depression at about 5 a.m.

By 7 a.m., authorities had closed the right-hand lane near the East South Street exit.

    Betwixt here and there.

Sounds like some of the sinkholes we get here in TN.
