5 8's with permanent days off. We bid once a year by seniority for the next year.
Someone once told me that time is a predator that stalks us all our lives. But maybe time is also a companion who goes with us on our journey, and reminds us to cherish the moments of our lives because they will never come again.

We work 12's. Right now I work Sunday-Tuesday and every third Saturday. We bid every two months for a two month rotation.

We work 14 shifts over a 28 day cycle.
4-10 hr days M-Th
then 7 off
4-14 hr nights Th-Su
then 4 off
Split shift of 3-10 hr days F/S/Su followed by 3-14 hr nights M/T/W
then 4 off
...
back to the 4 days starting on Monday.
We have 4 platoons, and unless there is a promotion or some interpersonal complications, everyone stays on the same shift.Communications Diva of the IACOJ, and proud member of the WOT!
