Do you know what Police officers and firefighters have in common?

I agree! There is already enough BS between the two. No need to start a "post war".

I enjoy doing both (fulltime Deputy Sheriff/Volunteer Fireman) The biggest difference between being a cop and being a fireman, is that when you show up at peoples homes, as a Deputy, they are hardly ever happy to see you. Why are you here? What do you want? It took you long enough to get here. Don't you have anything else better to do? And the best is when you are in a restaurant, and the parents tell their kids, "If you don't behave the deputy will arrest you!" Now on the other hand you could go to the same house or deal with the same people as a fireman, most people love you, no matter what. You could burn a mans house down to the ground and they are still happy to see you! I think that it has somthing to do this the kind of people that we deal with. Anyway, I love to help people, serve my community, and the guys I work with are the best (at both the firehouse and at the sheriff's office) After doing it for the better part of nine years, I realy don't want to do anything else.
I hope this helps answer you question.

The cops are the ones usually starting the BS. At least in the city I work for.
