    Default Clearwater or Tampa Firefighters

    Any clearwater or tampa firefighters here. Thinking of moving to either one. Im from texas, not sure if my cert transfers but im gonna look into it. Hows the pay compared to cost of living? Gas prices? Hows the dept, retirement too.

    Try contacting the Fla Fire Marshal to see if they would. Also, check about getting your EMS certs transfered over as well.
    If you don't wanna do EMS, Fla aint the place for you!

    I can attest that TFD is a pretty cool place to visit. The Brothers there are friendly, and willing to show you around, and give you tips about that area, and how to get hired.
    The Big House, downtown, has alot of apparatus, and is their HQ. Good place to start.
