Anyone know how many the department is looking to hire? Got my letter and it says the testing is complete. Finished fairly well so hopefully I get the call.

The city said they will be hiring 12 in the first round with a possibility of an additional 12 towards the end of the year. I also know that they are in need of medics and will jump around the list to get them. Hope this helps ya.

I heard that they were going to hire 25-30 overall within the next two years. They are going to hire 12 ASAP. Where did you finish?

I finished in the top 30, not as well as I had hoped but I think it will get me an interview and maybe a job within the next two years.. not the first class. What about yourself?

Not here. I've only had the first level interview with the civil service administrator.

Haven't heard anything yet. I finished pretty good, top 10. Not sure when they are going to start backgrounds. I heard rumors that they wanted to hire by July/August. Anybody else hear anything.

The city was just approved to hire 15 in the first class.. this means they will be giving 45 interviews.

Just got a call from civil service. They said they are going to hire 15 and interview 30 and they said they were going to start the backgrounds. Anybody else get a call?

Well had my panel interview last week. Thought it went well. Did anybody else go through their interview yet? Now for the hard part, sit and wait. Hope the calls go out soon!

i had the long drive home to think how i did. the more i think about it the worst i think i did. i think ill be lucky to get the call. its in the past now so i guess learn from it and move on. my first panel interview ever so we'll see. good luck!

Good luck guys, I hope you guys get the call. Canton City is the department I'd like to get on when I get older. Any of you currently on a vollie/paid per call dept in the area? If so, which? (If you're willing to share that).
