    Default dj for SAFER

    Just got my dj letter for SAFER dated May 1st..............

    Since it so late in the year...does this mean anything??? Did it almost make it??? Did they just run out of money before mine got funded???

    Looking for answers before starting 2008...............

    Same here. Next move is to convince the finance board to hire the 4 firefighters we requested. Unfortunately, that has next to zero chance of occurring. Guess I'll have to get ready to try SAFER again.

    Even though the reviewers thought your F P & S request has merit , they would like to see additional methods for sustaining the program past the period of the grant. Also we just plain ran out of money> Please try again next time !
    OH well
    when you have to beg to get funding for programs you can't expect them all to be funded.
