My condolences to the Maringoin Fire Department and the Bellelo and Robinson families for their loss.

    Default Thread correction...

Evidently there was an error made when WAFB news reported this story. The fire fighter was Shanna Robinson, not Carl Bellelo.
Sorry for the confusion. I did not know the Fire Fighter, only was trying to share the lost of one our sisters with everyone.

    Default Shanna Robinson, my niece

Thank you for so much for your condolences. My niece had dreams of becoming an arson investigator. My brother, Sam who is also a member of the Maringoin Fire Department, said that when the alarm went out, Shanna always grabbed her gear without hesitation and was the first one out the door. She had become a certified dark-water diver. Such a difficult job, but one she was proud to be able to do. So many people have had stories about how she had somehow touched their lives.

Carl, her fiancé, was a very nice young man. He was an electrician, and very supportive of Shanna’s dreams and service. They are now entombed together in Maringoin.

Her father’s last words as he saluted her were, “Well done, my daughter, well done.”
