The Fireman’s Roundup!

In the early 1960’s, Geneva-on-the-Lake played host to the original Fireman’s Roundup. Thousands of Firefighters from Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan and beyond gathered here at the lake for a weekend of fun. After several years, the festival became too large for the small group of organizers to handle and it was decided to discontinue the event. Well, it’s high time to bring back this incredible festival.

The Fireman’s Roundup will include all the fun and camaraderie of the original and a whole lot more. The Parade and Antique Apparatus will be back, but we are adding themed entertainment, fire related vendors and 2 days filled with games and competitions for firefighters and kid’s alike. Or just Round Up the gang and join us for a fun filled weekend at the Lake.

Situated on the idyllic shores of Lake Erie, the Landing provides an incredible view of the water and the perfect location for many summertime events. The Landing boasts a shaded events ground surrounded by shops, restaurants and overlooks Lake Erie. Set in the heart of Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio’s first summertime resort, the community sees thousands of tourists and locals each year.

We would like to cordially invite you to participate in the Fireman’s Roundup and ask that you help spread the word. The Fireman’s Roundup gives you an opportunity to kick back and enjoy the festivities, or jump in and compete against your fellow firefighters. From the smallest volunteer department to the largest professional company, firemen and women from around the region will converge here at the lake for two days of fun, games and an all around great time.

A portion of the proceeds from the Fireman’s Roundup will benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. Information and posters have been mailed to over 7000 departments in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. If you haven't seen anything yet, ask at your local department or check us out online.
