    Being as though the offender was from the next province, and several hours away, it would have been easy for the driver to take his ticket and dissappear. I too would hope they release the truck if the Chief arranges/comes for it's pickup, etc...

    I just noticed that the story you posted doesn't make mention of where the truck is from. The original story I read earlier this week indicated that it was a North Bay FD truck. The story started out "North Bay Fire Department is without one of its vehicles for the next 7 days..."
