I am former military, and currently work for the US Postal Service. I am looking for information about transfering to the Department of the Navy as a Firefighter. I am not looking for cert info, just the process. Has anyone here transfered from one branch of government to another branch?

I would think as long as your a permanent in your current job, you will have priority against non permanents. The permanents that are already firefighters in the 0081 system will have transfer rights over you, especially if they have more certs and time.
I think.

That is what I figured in that respect.
However I was also looking for information as to "buying" my time.
