This fall I will be interning at my township fire/rescue dept. and have a few questions about it. I already am at the dept regularly and have gone on a couple calls and gone to a controlled burn already so that I can learn before the internship. I am doing this as a class for highschool for my entire senior year(about 3 hours per day). I know that I will be working hard and getting my ff-1 certification. My question is what kind of stuff should I get involved in with them, I want to get involved with as much as I can so I can learn and experience the most through the year. Is there certain calls that I should really try to go on, or certain things I should try to do with the dept? I am going to try to do a medical stand-by for a couple football games with two of the guys this fall. Anything I should really try to get in on? Thanks.
