Firefighter position for non U.S.

Dear all....

Does anyone know if U.S. fire depts will consider recruiting a firefighter/EMT-I with 8 years on the job and excellent NATO experience?

I am looking to relocate to the U.S. but there is always this consern of a work permit in the states. The U.S. embassy here in Iceland tells me that I need to find a company to sponsor me, then I should be in.

Please write back with positive answers and help me fullfill my dream.
