Hi fellow firefighters or FF applicants,
I have a question regarding to LAFD drug usage question. I had smoked marijuana about two years ago, and under 10 occasions in my life, I do realize it was a huge mistake and also the reason why I was DQ'd with a couple local law enforcement agencies. however, I have stayed cleaned for 2 years, recently graduated college wit a BS degree and currently work as a fitness trainer with excellent performance.
What are my chances if I apply right now with the LAFD? I'm going to get my CPAT certificate this month and have it ready. The reason why I ask is because certain fire or law enforcement department have a waiting period for atleast 2 to 3 years since last MJ use. Any comments and or suggestions will be appreciated.
Have a great day!
