Default 2008 AFG Awards / The Whoo Hoo Room!

Figured I would go ahead and start this thread for the year and give everyone a "braggin rights" room of there own. Unfortunatley, DHS is keeping us in further suspense because as of this posting at 6:30AM, still no awards posted.

Oh well, will check every 15 minutes till someone wakes up and turns the new link on! Happy 4th of July to all!

Well... I guess I will be the first!

No AFG Public Announcement, but I just checked, and recieved the award letter, and now have the very nice "View Award Package" and "Manage Grant" options addd to the pull down for this year's AFG on my Status page.

When I got the 10qs, they had tried to cut the program cost for a Fast Attack, w/ Crew Cab, Rescue Body, Front turret, Booster Reel, and CAFS from $158K to $125K, but after emails, phone calls, etc, I got them to agree to bring it back to the full request of $158K ($142.2K).

Woo Hoo! Doing the happy dance!

Congrats Andy! I am seeing only 5 letters out so far this morning so they are either moving slow or it is a small round.

Oh that's cruel and unusual punishment. Tempt me with an early award round notice on a National Holiday and then not publish the list! Its not nice to fool the psychotic grant consultant who is a click-a-holic like that! Oh well I guess I'll have to settle for Monday maybe. Hopefully the races at Daytona will drown out this little voice that says, "keep clicking".

Award announcements will be found here http://www.firegrantsupport.com/

On the right side under "Quick Links" is one for "Awards" & will be posted under "Latest Updates" below "Grant Opportunities".

Nothing has been posted due to the holiday. What people are finding are from the Congressman that post press releases on their individual websites or winners posting their own award.

Appears that the Waterford Twsp Seminar is off to a good start for its students with Colon and Groveland.

    Default 2008 AFG Applications Submitted

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how many applications were submitted for the AFG in 2008?

This is the location I have been looking for. BTW Kurt, Thank you so much. Am still awaiting my 10 questions phone call. our community is buzzing with the possible good news. I attend both churches and members announced the news during both services. Am counting on an umbrella of prayers to insure that there is no mess-ups. As long as I do exactly as Kurt recommends, I don't anticipate any hiccups.
