Anybody using a regional entrance exam?

I am interested in talking with any departments currently using a regionalized entrance exam for hiring new firefighters.

The city I currently work for hires a company to give our written test. Our Civil Service now would like to get in on a regional entrance exam where multiple cities in the county would hire off one list.

It would be great to hear from anybody currently working somewhere utilizing a regional entrance exam. I would like feedback on the process as well as pros and cons you have expierienced.

There was a regional hiring process here in Wisconsin last February, which included 12 different fire departments. The testing center for that is the Chippewa Valley Technical College.
