The large majority of fellow Explorers at the department we're with are/were in Stark State Technical Colleges program offered at the local high school in Northeast Ohio. It just happens they informed me about it just in time my Sophomore year so I had time to sign up.
A few months ago I learned, thankfully, that I was accepted into it for my upcoming Junior and Senior years. I'm told if I work my rear end off I can graduate with my FFI/II, EMT-B, and 12 credit hours at Stark State.
Sounds real good to me. Any of you by chance take this program? If so, how effective was it for you and your career. Did it allow you to get on a department right out of high school like I'm told it will be able to do for me if in fact I get those certs?
Thanks in advance,
Jon
