    Default Never Mind the Jargon: Hose Racks, High-rise packs, Stand-Pipe Kits... Your opinions

    I'm curious to hear what other departments utilize for their high rise packs. Anything you have tried, experimented with, that sort of thing.

    The ultimate reason for the post however is the chronic smooth bore vs fog nozzle argument on the stand-pipe racks. Despite losing the extra benefits of a fog nozzle, i personally prefer the penetrating power of a solid stream and the much lower operating pressure of the smooth bore nozzle... especially when floors and floors above your next due companies.
