    Default Fire Inspector- Retalitation,Unlawful Termination/Demotion

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of experience relating to retaliation against Fire Inspectors? I need some help. I was demoted and removed from all my duties for running against our Fire Chief for her position.
Any help or resources would be helpful. I am in Iowa and we are an at will employment state, which means you can be fired for anything or no reason at all.

    HELP!!!
    Thanks
    Matt

You said it all right there. You answered your own question.

You are acting surprised that your Chief has a personal grudge against you. Did you not run against her in the last election?? Now here is the BIG question......Did you let her know before you through your name in the hat that you were running for HER position????? It looks as though YOU stabbed her in the back and now are acting surprised that she is doing the same thing. Two wrongs don't make a right, but don't come in here seeking sympathy for something that you very well may have brought on yourself. End of rant.

p.s. We are patiently waiting for the rest of the story!!!
Just someone trying to help! (And by the way....Thanks for YOUR help!)

Aggressive does not have to equal stupid.
