Go away, spammer, please go away!

Is it me or has this gotten worse recently? Not just the blatent spam, but the complete "push" of specific brands by those not truly representing what their interests are or showing their hand?
I've tried to make it very clear I sell trucks, what brand I sell, and make every attempt to stay away from slamming the other brands because of this. If I ever slip and start, someone please smack me."Share your knowledge - it's a way to achieve immortality." - Stolen from Chase Sargent's Buddy to Boss program

The hell it is
[QUOTE=fit5fire;968623]BY NO MEANS IS THIS SPAM,
It’s spam because it is an advertisement for a product, your product from the looks of it. It might be the greatest product to come along in years but your methods, posting it in every thread on here is blatant commercialism, which I believe is against the rules. Buy ad space on here, hit the road and demo your product, go to shows, SPEND YOUR OWN MONEY to promote your product. You are so concerned about saving life and property then give this to fire departments free of charge. Otherwise you are here selling a product.

It's not as bad as some of you are making it. I met this brother in Springfield, selling this product and I do believe that it bears further review.
Understandably anyone sending product sales info into the forums is "spam" but that could closely include tons of posts here by sales reps and other manufacturers representative.
The FIT product looks to be a small time operation with a very limited budget, yet a very significant potential. I'm sorry I didn't start an independent post to spare Brian the online ***** kicking as I found the FIT very interesting and would like to hear more from others who have independently looked it over or better yet have used it.
No I didn't buy one, didn't get the loaner and don't I sell anyone's wares. Give the guy a break, he's a firefighter trying to sell a product to improve firefighter safety to firefighters.

Wow.. not only do you spam, but you insult some of the members of this forum. I can "think outside of the box" and have done it on numerous occasions, yet I find your posts to be nothing more than shills for your product.
If you truly want to advertise, then contact Cygnus, the parent company of Firehouse.com and and inquire about purchasing advertising and stop spamming the forum."The education of a firefighter and the continued education of a firefighter is what makes "real" firefighters. Continuous skill development is the core of progressive firefighting. We learn by doing and doing it again and again, both on the training ground and the fireground."

You were told by forum members that what you were doing violated the boards rules. Did you delete your posts? No. Did you simply apologize for your ignorance of the rules? No. You posted yet another ad fior your product AND contact info in further violation of the rules.
Now this post where you insult people because they expect YOU to follow the same rules as everyone else. Your name and number being listed AFTER you were told to stop advertising shows your complete disregard for the rules of this board. Sorry that is NOT integrity.

How is this guy any different than the Red Baron and his Shopping Cart? They are both selling something that is different to the standard.

Something that will save lives and property, and all there is to say is "Go away spammer"
We are not in the "dark ages" anymore.
Some do not like that I posted info about a product that will assist and supplement the fire service while saving lives and property?
Is there anybody there that believes this deserves some consideration?
Thank you to RFDACM02 for your perspective!
Career guys will not see this product in their fd's if they run exceptional ISO's
Combo fd's may embrace this product if it will buy them some time
Vollie fd's also embrace this product based on manpower and response time issues.
Get past the issue of how we put our product info out there, and focus on the products potential please.
It is not replacing anyone, merely supplementing our hard work.

What does a career FD's ISO rating have to do with it? Even Class 1 FD's lose buildings.Career guys will not see this product in their fd's if they run exceptional ISO's
Combo fd's may embrace this product if it will buy them some timeI'm sure that your product can compensate for a lack of response and slow response times due to distanceVollie fd's also embrace this product based on manpower and response time issues.
Who are you to to tell the members of the forum what to do? Follow the forum rules like everyone else has to.Get past the issue of how we put our product info out there, and focus on the products potential please.
You forgot to add lining your pockets with the false hope that someone can toss this thing into a fire and expect it to magically go out.It is not replacing anyone, merely supplementing our hard work.Last edited by CaptainGonzo; 07-13-2008 at 07:35 PM.
